Spring Shearing, March 2016

Our last shearing was in the fall just before breeding season. Yesterday the sheep were happy to lose their 6 months worth of wool as Jim returned for spring shearing. Spring shearing is also exciting because that means lambing is just around the corner!

 First the ewes were shorn.

We then setup panels to bring in the rams since they are still separated until after lambing.

Jim and his assistants are quite efficient and had all the sheep through in just a couple hours.
